In the sim
The in-sim panel says OFFLINE or STANDBY
OFFLINE means the StrataWx app is not running. Open it, leave it open, then load your flight.
STANDBY means the app is running but no flight is loaded yet. Load one and give it a few seconds.
The StrataWx panel is missing from the toolbar
MSFS only loads Community add-ons when it starts. Check the Community folder in StrataWx Settings (the app moves the panel for you), then fully restart MSFS.
MSFS 2020 and 2024 keep separate Community folders, so check the one for the sim you fly.
Old weather after an update, or a banner says restart MSFS
The in-sim panel loads when MSFS starts, so a sim left open during an update keeps the old one. Restart MSFS.
Still stale? Close MSFS, open StrataWx so it copies the panel again, then start the sim.
The weather keeps changing, or fights the sim
Another live-weather add-on is running alongside StrataWx. Turn it off, or uninstall it, so only one engine sets the sky.
The temperature looks wrong in an imperial cockpit
Make sure StrataWx is up to date: it updates itself when it starts. If it still reads wrong, upload your logs (below) and tell us which temperature and pressure units MSFS is set to.
Stutters or odd behaviour on a long flight
Update first: most stability fixes arrive in updates. If it happens again, upload your logs straight afterwards, so we can see exactly what the engine did.

The Manager does not accept my key
Paste the key rather than typing it: 0 and O, and 1 and I, look alike. Use the email address you bought with. Your keys are under Licences, above.
StrataWx still shows the activation screen
After activating in the StrataSim Manager, press Recheck in StrataWx. It reads the licence again without a restart.
All my PCs are in use
A licence runs on three PCs. Remove one you no longer use under Your PCs, above, then activate again. Reinstalling on a PC that is already activated does not use up another place.
An update stalls or fails
The updater retries on its own. If it keeps failing, check that your firewall allows download.stratawxfs.com, then restart StrataWx. Every download is checked before it installs.
StrataWx will not open after switching channel
Delete %APPDATA%\@stratawx\ui\channel.json, then reinstall with the Download button at the top of this page. That puts you back on Stable.
Not on the list? Open a ticket and add your logs: in StrataWx, Settings, Support, Save to file makes the zip. Upload logs there sends them straight to us instead.
