StrataWx is developed, published and operated by StrataSim Designs LLC, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Utah, United States.

StrataSim Designs LLC owns StrataWx and all associated intellectual property. StrataSim is the studio; StrataWx is its product. Where these documents say "we", "us" or "our", they mean StrataSim Designs LLC.

Four documents govern StrataWx, and they cover different things. Where they overlap, the more specific one wins for the subject it covers.

• End User Licence Agreement. The licence to the software itself: what you may do with StrataWx once it is on your machine.
• Terms of Service. This site and the online services behind the app: licence validation, the weather service, updates and support.
• Privacy Policy. What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
• Refund policy. All sales are final on a digital download, and the narrow cases we still consider.

These agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Utah are the venue for any dispute.

Nothing here removes a mandatory consumer right that applies where you live. If your local law gives you a right that cannot be waived by contract, you keep it, and it prevails over any conflicting clause in these documents.

Direct purchases through this site are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, who handle the card, the receipt and the sales tax.

Licences may also be sold through authorised resellers, including SimMarket and iniBuilds. Where you bought from a reseller, your contract of sale is with that reseller and their terms and refund policy govern the purchase. Your licence and your support are the same either way.

Active Sky and Active Sky FS are trademarks of HiFi Technologies, Inc. StrataWx is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

StrataWx models weather from public and licensed data. Some of it we are required to credit, and we would anyway.

• NOAA Aviation Weather Center. Surface observations, METAR and TAF.
• NOAA / NSSL MRMS. Radar reflectivity and echo tops over the United States. Public domain, redistributed with attribution.
• Open-Meteo. Numerical model columns and reanalysis, used under their terms.
• NASA GPM IMERG, via NASA Worldview and GIBS. Precipitation imagery on this site.
• OurAirports. The offline airport and runway database.
• AVWX. Supplementary observations where the primary feed has poor coverage.
• RainViewer. The global precipitation map on this site.

StrataWx is not endorsed by any of these providers. Their data is supplied for general use and carries their terms, not ours.
